Easter Egg Nests

Bake Easter egg nests

Ingredients

225g/8oz plain chocolate, broken into pieces
2 tbsp golden syrup
50g/2oz butter
75g/3oz cornflakes
36 mini chocolate eggs

Method

Line a 12-hole fairy cake tin with paper cases.
Melt the chocolate, golden syrup and butter in a bowl set over a pan of gently simmering water, (do not let the base of the bowl touch the water). Stir the mixture until smooth.
Remove the bowl from the heat and gently stir in the cornflakes until all of the cereal is coated in the chocolate.
Divide the mixture between the paper cases and press 3 chocolate eggs into the centre of each nest. Chill in the fridge for 1 hour, or until completely set.

Sunday Lunch Roast

Put on an Easter Sunday lunch spread

If you’re staying in one of our lodges you’ll find all the tools you need to cook up a Sunday lunch feast for your loved ones, or you can sit back and relax while we cook for you in our Waterside Restaurant or Cairn O’ Mount bar.

Easter Eggs for hunts

Find the perfect egg rolling spot

Get your wellies on and get out in the fresh air to hunt around the resort for the perfect egg rolling spot. You’ll find lots of grassy knolls and woodland spots that are great for rolling your eggs, including a grass hill in between our Bankside fishing pool and Woodside fishing pool. When you’re out and about keep both eyes open for nature-filled discoveries, and make sure you’re extra careful around the open water.

Family putting

Play a family game of putting

Easter is a time for getting the family together, and what’s better than some friendly family competition? Putting is something everyone can take part in, from tots to grandparents. For the Cairngorms Putting Green you can pick up putters, balls and score cards from our Sports Reception which is open from 8am daily.
